Case heard too late: lower sentence for six people who ran large-scale hemp farm in Voerendaal shed (Limburger.nl)

Voerendaal - Six people appeared in court in August for running a large-scale hemp plantation in a shed in Voerendaal until January 2018. Because it took more than six and a half years for the case to be heard, most will receive a significantly reduced sentence. The six were involved in running a large-scale cannabis plantation in a shed in Voerendaal from June 2017 through January 2018. In a raid, police found 1723 hemp plants. To keep the plantation running, water and electricity were stolen from neighbors. In addition, a second plantation with 95 plants was found in the home of one of the suspects in Hoensbroek.
