BREDA - A man from Romania must be jailed for a year by the judge in Breda for debit card fraud. He was caught red-handed in July at the Albert Heijn in Heksenwiel shopping center in Breda.The man had allowed himself to be locked in to install skimming equipment at the cash registers at night. Skimming equipment is used to copy card data. The counterfeit debit cards were used in Thailand and Romania to plunder victims' accounts.
Three years had been demanded against the 36-year-old Romanian but the court found no evidence that he was a member of a gang.
