In the first instance, client was sentenced by the court to imprisonment for 42 months. The conviction was for involvement in an extortion case and in a theft by force. This case has been ongoing since 2015. The conviction was appealed on behalf of the client. On appeal, the defense argued integral acquittal on Aug. 2. The trial court followed the defense's argument and acquitted client completely of the charges against him on August 16. For client, it is nice that he can finally close this matter after all these years. Compensation will be sought for the days he spent in pretrial detention.
