SCHINVELD - The Limburg-South police have received five tips in response to the missing 29-year-old Mouhammed al Jader from Schinveld. Whether those tips are useful is still being investigated. Al Jader was last seen on Friday, August 5. At night he sent several text messages. After that nothing was heard from him. On August 12, the Fiat Tipo that Al Jader was using was recovered. The car was parked in Stein, near the Steiner forest. So far, every trace of the man is missing. Al Jader's family is puzzled, says police spokeswoman Renske Hamming. ,,Mouhammed is known as someone who called his family every day. And suicide is not in his nature at all, his family members say." Police are not ruling out that he was the victim of a crime.
Mouhammed Al Jader also made the news five years ago, when he was sentenced to 315 days in prison by the Maastricht court for his role within an organization that engaged in international drug trafficking from Kerkrade. Two other brothers of his were sentenced to multi-year prison terms for the same offense. The Limburg-South police cannot say whether there is a connection between those activities and his disappearance. ''We are not ruling anything out at this time,'' said the police spokeswoman. The police are still looking for people who had contact with Al Jader or saw him on or after Saturday, Aug. 6. Tips can be passed on via 0900-8844 or 0800-7000 (Report Crime Anonymous). Al Jader's description is as follows: 1.82 meters, black hair, green-brown eyes. When last seen, he was wearing jeans and a white T-shirt.
