The Court of Appeal in Arnhem has sentenced a Syrian from Arnhem after all. The man was acquitted by the court last year, along with another suspect. The latter was also acquitted now.
The court found proof that the convicted man, Mohamed el A., was preparing to join al-Nusra terror organization in Syria. The man was sentenced to a year and a half in prison, one year of which was suspended. Because of his remand, El A. no longer needs to serve time in prison.
