Up to six years demanded for robberies in Vlissingen and Oost-Souburg (PZC)

MIDDELBURG - Cell sentences of up to six were demanded Tuesday in the Middelburg District Court against men suspected of committing robberies in Oost-Souburg and Vlissingen.

Against a 24-year-old man from Oost-Souburg, the prosecutor demanded six years. Two men from Almere, 30 and 33, respectively, heard demands for four years in prison.

The trio is suspected of the robbery committed on June 12, 2009, of the Phone Home phone store on the Scheldestraat in Vlissingen and of the robbery of the Aldi in Oost-Souburg on December 23, 201o. The three suspects deny having anything to do with these cases. One counsel found that the prosecutor was inadmissible because of the disappearance of exculpatory evidence. That concerns footage from a surveillance camera at the aforementioned phone winke. The court will rule Tuesday, Sept. 4.
