Two years in prison for murder of A. Vink

BRUNSSUM - Ali B., the murderer of Arnold Vink from Brunssum, has been sentenced to two years' juvenile detention with a juvenile restraining order by the court of appeal in Den Bosch. This is the maximum sentence that can be imposed on him according to the juvenile criminal law.The public prosecutor had demanded 4 years with tbs according to the adult criminal law against B., who was 17 when he stabbed Vink to death. B's lawyer S. Weening is satisfied with the verdict.

The youngest co-perpetrator, who was 15 at the time of the murder, was sentenced to 11 months in juvenile detention, one month less than demanded. The court ruled that his rights were violated during his interrogation.

The 23-year-old co-perpetrator Z. was sentenced to three years in prison, where six years had been demanded. The 18-year-old S., who was a minor during the murder, was given one year of juvenile detention.

Arnold Vink was stabbed to death last March. The four convicts targeted Vink's ATM card and code.

B. had broken into the man's home a few days before the murder and seen on a bank statement that there was 20,000 euros in his account. The loot eventually consisted of eighty euros.
