BRUNSSUM - Police suspect two boys aged 15 and 17 from Brunssum of involvement in the death of 77-year-old invalid Arnold Vink from the locality. The boys were arrested Friday morning, the Limburg South police reported Friday.The elderly man was found dead in his home on March 10. The boys were arrested after tips from witnesses. The homes of both suspects were searched. The suspects have since been taken into custody.
According to Maastricht press officer A. Rogier, both boys stole items from Vink's home, and the elderly man was killed in the process. How exactly that happened, he would not say.
It is not yet clear whether there is also a connection between a burglary in the victim's home five days before his death. In that burglary, a VCR and jewelry disappeared.
