Thugs push passers-by into canal (Telegraph.co.uk)

LEEUWARDEN - Police arrested three men Sunday morning in Leeuwarden who pushed some passersby into the canal for no reason.

The senseless violence took place on the Voorstreek, the Leeuwarder Courant reported. The perpetrators are two Leeuwardeners aged 23 and 26 and a 39-year-old man from Assen. The three not only pushed their victims into the water, they then pelted them with stones and bicycles. One of the assailants even jumped into the water to push a victim underwater. Bystanders alerted the police. They arrested the thugs.
