SITTARD/MAASTRICHT - Father Hub L. (58) and his sons Michel (27) and Maurice (21) are all going to give a statement. They are suspected of involvement in the murder and/or disposal of the bodies of Mouhammed Al Jader and Alan Gergeri, in 2011 and 2009, respectively. The men, who live just across the border in Tudderen, Germany, have so far mostly kept quiet about the acts of which they are suspected. They only wanted to testify if a reconstruction of the murder was also organized. But that request was twice rejected by the court in Maastricht. "If you say nothing, the file remains as it is now," said Serge Weening, attorney for Maurice L., who is suspected of involvement in the two murders. "And that is very incriminating for my client and the others at the moment."
These include statements made by family friend and co-accused Ron van K. of Dilsen, Belgium.
He says he was there when Al Jader was killed.
