Police have arrested three people for the shooting in a residential neighborhood in Heerlen. Two of them are still in the hospital; a third suspect was arrested elsewhere.It is not yet exactly clear what happened at the Vrieheidepark in Heerlerheide and what exactly the three suspects did.
Hospital
The shots were fired around 7 p.m. Sunday evening. When police arrived at the scene, no injuries were found.
Not much later, several people reported to the Zuyderland hospital in Heerlen. There was also a car with bullet holes in it.
Unclear
It is not known whether other people besides the two suspects were injured in the incident. In any case, police are not ruling out the possibility that more people will be arrested.
