On Tuesday, the only suspect arrested so far, Mateo Z. (48), appeared in court for the first time. The Italian-born man is suspected of qualified manslaughter. That is a form of manslaughter in which the killing of the victim is intended to conceal or facilitate another criminal offense. In this case, that is the theft of a suitcase containing 100,000 euros in cash.
