Radical Muslim turns out to be loverboy (Telegraaf.nl)

AMSTERDAM - In the network of radical Muslims surrounding the chairman of the Arrayan mosque in Amsterdam, a jihadist loverboy is also turning up. He was arrested in April with a 16-year-old girl.

That turned out to be the now 17-year-old Estrella from Oss, who disappeared from a juvenile detention center in April. Police found her in burka in the back seat of a criminal who is considered a pivotal figure when it comes to recruiting and raising funds for the jihad.

The Telegraph revealed Thursday that two directors of the Arrayan mosque are under police scrutiny for extremism. The chairman's phone was tapped. He had several contacts in radical circles, according to secret police documents. For example, he called jihadist Soufiane Zerguit, visited a mosque and met with him several times. Zerguit was considered a hardcore radical. He traveled to Afghanistan and Syria and made the video "Oh oh Aleppo" about Dutch jihadis there. He was killed.

The mosque chairman was also in contact with militant Sabir Ali K., who is suspected by the U.S. of having ties to al-Qaeda. K. allegedly aided terror against U.S. troops.

The PvdA is putting questions to Minister Van der Steur (Justice) about "the leaking of secret police information to De Telegraaf.

The Arrayan mosque states on its website that its board members are "against all forms of extremism."
