Sport, especially at the amateur level, is a form of recreation practiced by many. In 2017, 64% of all Dutch people played sports on a weekly basis.1 Every sport has rules, which players must observe when playing the game. Enforcement of those rules takes place in principle-depending on the seriousness of the offense-within sports disciplinary law.
