Attempted murder requirement three years

DEN BOSCH - Because of the attempted murder of a "love-rival," the public prosecutor yesterday demanded three years and a detention order with conditions against 25-year-old C.C. from Hoensbroek. In July, in court, the public prosecutor still demanded 12 years and tbs with compulsory treatment. The court sentenced her to three years plus restraining orders. Tbs with compulsory treatment can be extended each time and is a more severe measure than tbs with conditions, which lasts a maximum of four years. C. C. slashed her victim Sept. 28, 2008, because the woman had gotten into a relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Behavioral experts deemed the risk of her repeating the attack to be high, reason for the court to impose tbs with conditions. In the meantime, after consultation with the psychiatrist, the public prosecutor believes that the woman can be adequately treated through tbs with conditions.C.'s counsel Serge Weening fully agrees with the public prosecutor's demand. The court will render its verdict Jan. 28.
