Justice demanded prison sentences of five to six years against the Heerlen brothers Romano and Marciano M. in a Maastricht court on Monday. The duo is suspected of car theft and participation in a criminal organization, among other things. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office (OM), Romano was the head of the so-called Parkstad gang.
The thefts are said to have occurred in 2020 and 2021. Especially popular were brands such as Mercedes and Audi. Those vehicles were stolen in Beek, but also across the border in Gangelt.
