Police found a synthetic drug storage site on the Hitjesweg in Heerlen on Thursday evening. Detectives have launched an investigation at the premises. No arrests have yet been made by police.

The property was entered Thursday evening after there were signs of the presence of a possible drug lab. No drug lab was found at the location but raw materials and other goods used for the production of synthetic drugs were found. According to police, the situation was dangerous because the substances are known to be flammable and explosive.
