The court in Maastricht handed down community service sentences ranging from 180 to 240 hours to three suspects in the Valkenburg vice case.
They were also given one day's imprisonment. Prison sentences of between eight months and one year had been demanded against the trio by the prosecution.
The longest community service, 240 hours, was for a 33-year-old Belgian. He stated that he had made an appointment with the girl, but had not had sex with her. A 30-year-old man from Simpelveld and a 40-year-old man from Zwolle received 180 hours of community service. The Simpelveld man admitted the facts and has since made a financial settlement with Kimberly. The man from Zwolle also confessed, but thought she was of age.
