New arrest in Al Jader murder case (Limburger)

SCHINVELD/MAASTRICHT - Police arrested a 25-year-old Dutchman Friday night on suspicion of murdering 29-year-old Mouhammed al Jader from Schinveld. The man was previously arrested in Germany in this disappearance case but released after a few days.

The prosecutor's office in Maastricht confirmed the arrest, but would not say anything further during the investigation except that it is not ruling out more arrests. Al Jader disappeared on Aug. 5. Last week his body, or at least parts of it, was found near Maastricht across the border in Belgium at the direction of the suspect held partly responsible for making the body disappear. This 52-year-old Dutchman living in Belgium and a 57-year-old Dutch woman living in Tüddern, Germany, have been detained for over a week on suspicion of involvement in Al Jader's death and the disposal of the body. The 25-year-old M. L. was detained over a week ago along with several other members of his family, who have also been released. The 57-year-old suspect is said to be his mother.

The prosecution announced last week that Al Jader was shot dead in a residence in Germany. The residence is said to be that of the woman. She is the mother of Al Jader's second girlfriend. Al ader was allegedly threatened by the father of that girlfriend the night before his disappearance, claim relatives and a friend of Al Jader. They suspect it was related to disagreements over a weed deal. Both men are said to be in the cannabis business.
