NIJMEGEN - Clicking about benefit fraud appears to have been the motive for the murder, more than three weeks ago, of a 68-year-old woman on the Cronjéstraat in Nijmegen. This has emerged from investigation by Omroep Gelderland. A 41-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested shortly after the murder over the Whitsun weekend. The woman had her mail delivered to the victim's house, but did not live there. The victim allegedly reported this to social services after being pressured by the service. Police neither confirm nor deny Omroep Gelderland's findings. Later that night, a 47-year-old man was shot in Nijmegen. According to local residents, this man had been arguing with the 41-year-old male suspect for some time.
