One of the defendants, assisted by Mr. A.L. Rinsma, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 24 months, eight of which were suspended, following a demand for seven years' imprisonment. This verdict was not appealed by either party. The defense is satisfied with this verdict because the Court has assumed that the client was involved in narcotics trafficking for a considerably shorter period than argued by the prosecution. In doing so, the Court relied on the defense's plea. The defense is also satisfied with the extent to which the trial stance taken by client and his personal circumstances were taken into account.
