MAASTRICHT - A bizarre abuse affair appears to have taken place in Limburg in recent years. The 51-year-old André H. from Roerdalen is suspected of raping and sexually abusing two teenage girls for fourteen years. The man is in custody, the public prosecutor confirms to De Telegraaf.
The pedo- and incest practices allegedly took place in Roermond, Vlodrop and Herkenbosch from 2000 to early 2014, according to the justice department. Confidential investigation information shows that the abuse came to light after one of the victims confessed to her family and called in the criminal investigation department. The latter then launched an investigation.
Child conceived
H. allegedly abused the girls, in addition to the horrific abuse. According to court documents, he used "a psychological superiority" in an "authoritarian and aggressive" manner. One of the victims, H.'s daughter, also stated that the defendant had fathered a child with her when she was 14 years old.
Fearing reprisals from her father, she concealed this from the outside world for years. Research by the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) has now revealed that H. is indeed the child's father. H., who is detained in the Sittard jail De Geerhorst, denies to the investigators "systematically" the sexual abuse, according to insiders.
He also believes the fathering of the child by his teenage daughter is not true. The criminal investigation in the case is still ongoing. Attorney for André H., did not want to comment on the matter.
