Geleen was terminus of large drug shipment from Spain (1Limburg.nl)

Thanks to a secret tip to international intelligence agency Interpol, a large drug shipment from Spain was intercepted in Geleen two weeks ago.

This is according to information in the hands of L1. The drugs, 125 kilograms of hemp, were transported by three Romanians.
Large transport
Interpol received a tip that a large drug transport was heading from Spain to Belgium or the Netherlands. In the process, a license plate number was also passed on. That license plate was indeed registered at several border controls and on several highway cameras.

Welcome to Bocholtz
The truck belonging to that license plate was accompanied by a second truck. Both vehicles arrived in the Netherlands in the early morning of June 4. They crossed the border near Bocholtz. Eventually they stopped in the Kampstraat in Geleen, where there are business premises in particular. There the police sprang into action and the three Romanians were handcuffed.

Vacuum packed
Containers were found in one of the cars, and those containers, in turn, contained vacuum-packed drugs. The Justice Department says it does not want to confirm or deny this story at this time. Raimon Maessen and Justin Luiten, who are involved in the case as lawyers, would not comment.

Thursday afternoon, the suspects - 41, 35 and 27 years old - will appear before the examining magistrate and it will be determined whether they will remain in pretrial detention longer.https://www.1limburg.nl/geleen-was-eindstation-van-groot-drugstransport-uit-spanje
