Frenchman (26) arrested on A2 for human trafficking and driving without a license (Limburger.nl)

The Royal Military Police arrested a French man (26) driving a car with French license plates on Saturday on the A2 near Gronsveld. The car was driving with false license plates and the driver's residence permit and driving license turned out to be false.

The car initially ignored several stop signs, but was eventually able to be stopped on the shoulder of the A2 motorway. In the car, troopers found three persons, of whom only the driver had identification documents. Subsequent investigation revealed that the residence permit and driving license were false. The car also had false license plates.

The 26-year-old man, resident in France, was arrested for human smuggling, identity fraud and driving without a license.
