The court of appeal in Den Bosch acquitted four men in the appeal of the Valkenburg vice case. 23 other suspects were sentenced to community service and one-day imprisonment.
In doing so, the court largely upheld the sentences previously imposed. The court finds no evidence that the defendants were seeking sex with a minor, according to the ruling.
In the Valkenburg vice case, 27 men are on trial who, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office (OM), were guilty of committing lewd acts against payment with 16-year-old Kimberley.
