Jack Koker was stabbed to death last May in his home on the fifth floor of the ANWB flat in Maastricht. Two suspects are still in custody for the murder.
These are 22-year-old O. from The Hague, who appeared in court on Wednesday, and 41-year-old Maastricht man H., who officially has no fixed place of residence. In addition, four more people from The Hague are suspected of involvement in the murder but are not in custody.
At the pre-trial hearing before the Maastricht District Court, it became clear that three people entered Koker's home on the night of May 26. They wanted to rob him of cocaine and money. They were the two still detained suspects and the girlfriend of 22-year-old O.
The exact circumstances and who inflicted the three fatal stabbings are still subject to further investigation, according to prosecutor David van Kuppeveld. "On the knife that was in the living room, only traces of the victim were found," Van Kuppeveld said. What is known is that the glass in the front door was shattered and that the perpetrators made off with cocaine and a cell phone. Other questions are also still unanswered for justice, such as how the perpetrators knew Koker and knew about the presence of cocaine in the home. The forensic investigation is therefore still ongoing.

Attorney Sjanneke de Crom of O. argues that according to the police preliminary scenario, her client struck Jack Koker on the head; the second suspect allegedly inflicted the stabbing.
O. is from The Hague but he spent several months in Maastricht where, according to De Crom, he worked as a steel braider during the construction of the bicycle parking facility near the train station. O. invoked his right to remain silent on Wednesday. On November 10 is a new session for which the 41-year-old H. from Maastricht is also summoned. Then more investigation data will also be known.
Tube was found only a few days after the murder.
