Flat murder takes totally unexpected turn (Limburger.nl)

The trial of the murder of Maastricht man Jack Koker has been completely turned upside down.
The earlier prime suspect has been released, the other suspect still in custody remains silent, but according to prosecutors, not he but his girlfriend is the one who fatally stabbed Koker.

ANBW flat

Late last year, the court reenacted in Koker's residence in the so-called ANWB flat on Koningsplein what allegedly took place May 27 last year. Based on the role and explanation of Maastricht resident D.H. in this, the justice concluded that he did not do it.

Coke

H. was that night with Moussa O. and his girlfriend A. from The Hague in Koker's house to buy cocaine. When O. and A. had used cocaine it came down to payment. H. first left with O.'s debit card. When there appeared to be too little money on it, he tried again with A.'s card.

Friend

According to prosecutor David van Kuppeveld, both knew there was too little money in the account. In their attempt to get away from Koker, a scuffle ensued and O. allegedly hit the occupant on the head. On Tuesday, prosecutors added a new reading: O.'s girlfriend allegedly stabbed Koker in the back in the process. In wiretapped phone conversations from jail, O. told his girlfriend, "I'm here for you."

Blood and glass

O.'s lawyer Sjanneke de Crom argues that that scenario is not consistent with the police's earlier reading and is also inconsistent with investigative facts such as the blood traces and glass shards found from the smashed front door. Her request to release O. for the time being was therefore rejected. O. indicated yesterday that he wanted to break his prolonged silence, but postponed it for a while. O.'s friend A. resides in Greece, where O. was born.
