Police arrested five suspects Tuesday night following a drug raid in Heerlen. A large quantity of synthetic drugs and a tablet machine were found in a shed.
In addition to the drugs and tablet machine, several cars and an RV were seized.
A 25-year-old man from Oirsbeek, a 26-year-old man from Heerlen and two men from Hoensbroek aged 42 and 44 were arrested. They were present on the premises at the time. Searches were also conducted at two other locations in Heerlen. A 53-year-old man from Hoensbroek was arrested there.
Police uncovered the locations as a result of information from an ongoing investigation. They are investigating how long the tablet machine had been in production. The suspects will be arraigned on Friday.
