Three men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a doorman and a manager of a catering establishment in Austria last January. They are from the village of Sint-Philipsland in Zeeland.
Austrian police recently released camera footage showing the suspects. Tips received by police led to the three men, aged 27, 27 and 30. They are being held for further investigation.
The incident took place at a catering establishment in Kirchberg, Tyrol. The trigger for the assault was the bouncer reminding the three that they were not allowed to go outside with beer glasses.
The Austrian police transferred the investigation to Dutch colleagues.
