HOENSBROEK - Two men in a stolen car skidded during a pursuit on the night of Thursday to Friday in Hoensbroek, flipped over and came to a stop against the facade of a house on the Kerkplein.One of the occupants, a 21-year-old man from Heerlen, was able to be apprehended. He was injured and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. The other was able to escape. His identity is known and he is being sought.
Police spotted a car stolen on Aug. 4 in Beek driving in Hoensbroek around 3:15 a.m. and wanted to ask the occupant and for clarification. The driver ignored a stop sign and drove off at high speed. On the corner of the Church Square and Prins Mauritsstraat the man lost control, rammed a pole, hit a tree and overturned, crashing into the front of a house. The living room window was broken.
