Two men suspected of human trafficking and sex with an underage girl in Roermond may await their trial at liberty.
The men, a Roermond man and a Hungarian, were arrested in December after a 13-year-old girl from Hungary was found in a garage. She was allegedly forced to have sex with the Roermond man.

Both suspects denied the allegations in court on Friday. For example, the Roermond man claimed not to have had sex with the girl. The man from Hungary was suspected of having sex with another underage Hungarian girl, but he claimed to have been under the impression that the girl was of age.
According to the court, there are insufficient serious objections to keep the men in pretrial detention longer. The substantive hearing of the case will not take place until the end of the year at the earliest.
