After 18-year prison sentence acquitted on appeal in Pistone murder case

Our client Fatih M. was acquitted today by the Den Bosch Court of Appeal of involvement in the murder of Ernesto Pistone. Earlier, the court imposed 18 years in prison because they saw M. as one of the two shooters. Lawyers Serge Weening and Sjanneke de Crom, who have been assisting client since the appeal hearing, asked for acquittal 4 weeks ago. They argued that the court's premises were incorrect. In a duo presentation, the lawyers used broadcast data to refute the court's scenario. The court ruled that client was not the user of the phone he purchased that was used in the liquidation.

The co-defendants were given prison sentences ranging from 16 to 18 years.

The full ruling can be found here reading.
