Administration is big mess (AD.co.uk)

OETERMEER - The trustee is currently in the process of obtaining a list of the creditors of the Instelling Voor Mondzorg (IVM), which was declared bankrupt at the beginning of this month. An exact list is not yet known because the company's administration is a mess. 'The administration does not offer - to put it mildly - a quick insight into the financial situation of the company,' writes trustee mr. R. Slotboom, appointed by the Amsterdam court, in the first bankruptcy report.
'The administration would have been gathered in the Plein 1953 branch (in Rotterdam, ed.). There is great disorder there.' Investigations by this newspaper previously showed that the IVM was riddled with lies. Often no registered dentist was present, employees did not receive the amount stated on their paychecks, and the IVM used excuses to try to get out of paying the rent. Meanwhile, creditors are lining up. The tax authorities alone are claiming 450,000 euros from IVM. The SGZ (Stichting Georganiseerde eerstelijnszorg Zoetermeer), the landlord of the building on the Puttershoekstraat in Oosterheem, is still owed 30,000 euros. ATN Beveiliging is still waiting for over 15,000 euros. The Amsterdam lawyer Mr. Boyer is also still receiving money from the IVM. "How much I don't know, that goes through the accountant.

I was an IVM attorney for a few years, but I did not receive a fee. That rarely happens. It is, I think, the second time in ten years that this has happened to me." Health insurers DSW and OHRA are also said to be victims of the IVM's practices. According to former employees of the dental practices, they would also have debts with Eneco, Haag Wonen and Staedion. not known. 'The former director and (co-) actual manager have indicated that the number of creditors would be relatively small,' notes the trustee's report. 'At first sight, however, there does seem to be a - in number - large creditor position.

What the creditors involved have to claim in approximate total cannot be said at present'. The trustee has given former director Dave Basilide van Doorneveld, and co-manager, his sister Peggy, the opportunity to come up with a proper overview of both debtors and creditors. "But I don't know if that will come. I hope so." To prepare his report, Slotboom spoke with both former board members. In the process, the employees also came up for discussion. All of whom reportedly called in sick on Dec. 12, 2008. The inventory of various practices also comes up in the report. Both board members accused staff members of stealing some of the household goods.

Dave and Peggy allegedly filed a report with the police, but it was not taken up. Shortly before the practice on the Puttershoekstraat in Oosterheem was to be vacated, the building was emptied. Traces of burglary were missing and the IVM's alarm code was used to enter. Everything indicates that the IVM itself emptied the premises. This did not just happen in Zoetermeer, the report shows: 'The inventory of the branch at Plein 1953 is missing. The failure of price agreements between the dental practices and a health insurer would have caused the financial problems. A name change would also have caused insurers to stop paying out.
