Eight boys arrested for sting operation (BD.co.uk)
HEUSDEN - Eight boys aged 16, 17, and 18 from Heusden were arrested by police on suspicion of involvement in a stabbing on the Herptseweg in Heusden.The eight were taken to the police station and are being questioned.
A 30-year-old resident from Heusden was seriously injured and a 32-year-old woman from Heusden slightly injured in the stabbing Saturday night at around 1:30 a.m. The man is still in hospital. The man is still in the hospital; his condition is now stable. Police will not say whether perpetrators and victims know each other.
The victims reportedly had an argument with the group shortly before the stabbing in which the 30-year-old victim had been stabbed in the back. His girlfriend had intervened and calmed things down, injuring her face in the process. The victims were transported to the hospital. There it was found that the man was life-threateningly injured and required immediate surgery.
Police searched a cornfield with several dogs for the possible perpetrators. Tracking dogs were used to search for the stabbing weapon.
