Police and judicial authorities have broken up a large drug network in Limburg.
In Brunssum, four men were arrested who are suspected of drug trafficking via the so-called darkweb. This is a protected part of the Internet that is mainly used for criminal practices.
Envelopes
The men would send the drugs they ordered, mainly xtc tablets, through mail packages and envelopes. They are men aged 24, 27, 35 and 53. The case got rolling when PostNL discovered packages containing drugs last year.
Whole world
The men are suspected of, among other things, shipping drugs abroad and money laundering. The drugs were ordered from various countries around the world. Several shipments were intercepted during the investigation.
Several homes and businesses were searched Tuesday. Police seized money and various items.
