Suspect shooting Geleen released (Limburger.nl)

One of the five suspects arrested for last Sunday's deadly shooting in Geleen is back at large. His lawyer Francoise Landerloo confirmed this to De Limburger.

This is the suspect who was arrested on Sunday along with Satudarah chief Doy S.. Police allegedly picked him up over the weekend because fellow suspects of Doy S. drove to the Rijksweg-Zuid in Geleen in his car. The magistrate judge ruled that Doy S. must remain in custody for another 14 days.

The man appears to have played no further role in the shooting incident. There at 7 a.m. Sunday morning, a 34-year-old man was shot in front of his home on State Highway South. He later died of his injuries at the hospital.

Arrested

On Tuesday, police arrested a third suspect, a 24-year-old man from Brunssum. On Wednesday, two more men were arrested. They are a 28-year-old man from Sittard and a 35-year-old man with no fixed place of residence.

The last three suspects reported to the Maastricht police station of their own accord. After testifying there about their role in the events, they were provisionally detained. They will soon be brought before the examining magistrate in Roermond.
