Six sentences handed out in the Valkenburg vice case stand. This was decided by the Supreme Court.
Justice previously appealed six judgments in cassation. It disagreed with the punishment the court imposed on the men who had sex with an underage girl in a hotel room in Valkenburg. Whereas the Justice Department wanted to see the men disappear behind bars for a certain amount of time, the court opted for one day in jail and community service.
Suicide
The trial revolves around Kimberly, a 16-year-old girl who was forced into paid sex with dozens of men in a Valkenburg hotel room in 2014. Her pimp cum loverboy Armin A. was previously convicted. The case, which came to light in early 2015, caused a lot of commotion. For example, two suspects committed suicide even before the trial began.
