Pursuant to Article 2 of the Pardons Act, Ms. J.J.H.M. filed a petition for pardon on behalf of a client in October 2015. De Crom considered that there were circumstances, which the court could not or insufficiently have taken into account at the time of its decision and which, had they been known at the time or sufficiently known, would have given it reason to impose a different punishment or measure, or to refrain from doing so.
The circumstances related to client's changed personal circumstances.
Three weeks ago, Dienst Justis announced that His Majesty the King had conditionally pardoned the client. The sentence of three months' imprisonment, less the period spent on remand, is hereby remitted. The condition the client has to comply with is that he is not allowed to commit any criminal offense in the next two years.
