Convicted cop took big risks (Telegraph.co.uk)

MAASTRICHT - Police officer Ronald V., who was given two years in prison last week for shooting a man in Heerlen in 2013 by whom he felt threatened, appears to have made more mistakes.

This is contained in a confidential letter from chief public prosecutor Roger Bos to Limburg police chief Gery Veldhuis, which was seen by The Telegraph.

Bos harshly criticized the modus operandi of officer Ronald V. of Kerkrade. Just before he shot, he hit the window of the car with the butt and the barrel of the pistol. Actions the officer should never have performed, Bos concludes.
