AMERSFOORT - On the night of February 9-10, an elderly couple was robbed in their home on Zandbergenlaan in Amersfoort. Detectives are looking for witnesses and camera footage.
Around 1:30 a.m., two dark-clad persons entered the couple's home. As the two stood in a bedroom, the couple was startled awake. The 90-year-old man then tried to get the duo out of the bedroom and a scuffle ensued, the man was injured. The suspects grab some more items and then flee the residence. The 90-year-old man was treated at the scene by ambulance, his 87-year-old wife was shocked and unharmed.
