ROERMOND - The well-known rapper Jay Zakelijk is suspected of being a loverboy who exploited several women for years under threat of violence by making them work in the sex industry, among other things.

Jay Zakelijk, whose real name is Justin P., palmed off on his victims, according to the prosecution, after which he forced them to work as prostitutes in our country, Belgium and Germany. The many thousands of euros that the women from Amersfoort and Zwolle, among other places, earned with this, they had to hand in to 'loverboy' P. under threat of violence and blackmail with a sex movie.

According to investigating authorities, the Limburg rapper caused the girls to become dependent on him. They dropped out of school, became isolated from their families and had his first name tattooed on their bodies. In addition, one of his victims became pregnant by P., after which she committed an abortion.

Françoise Landerloo, lawyer for Justin P., yesterday confirmed the allegations against her client. "In my opinion, however, there is no question of human trafficking and forced exploitation. My client is a popular rapper, apparently those girls found that interesting," said the Maastricht criminal lawyer.
