Ten years for manslaughter in Helmond

HELMOND - A 29-year-old Pole was sentenced Tuesday, Nov. 8, to 10 years in prison with deduction of remand for the manslaughter of his Helmond girlfriend (47). The crime took place as early as May 2008 in Helmond but the Pole fled to his homeland.

There he was first imprisoned for another case. After serving that sentence, he had to appear in the Netherlands for manslaughter.

The perpetrator had previously made a confession in Poland. The victim was killed by stabbing. The Pole was then dead drunk and under the influence of ecstasy and cocaine.
