Searches have already taken place in Beek, Stein, Oirsbeek, Obbicht, Sittard, Geleen and Maastricht, among other places. Also in the Belgian-Limburg town of Lanaken and in Amsterdam.
Spain
This is an international action, in cooperation with the Spanish police. The investigative activities in the Netherlands concentrate on Limburg. In this province, about 70 employees from different investigation services are on the move. They are mainly looking for evidence and other information relevant to the investigation into the hemp gangs and their ramifications.
Once they find a hemp farm in a property as well, it is immediately cleaned up.
