Satudarah investigation remand extended (Bndestem.nl)
BREDA - The eight men arrested Wednesday for allegedly being involved in drug trafficking and production will remain in custody for the next two weeks. This was determined by the court in Breda on Friday. The men were arrested in an investigation into a criminal organization allegedly involving members of the Satudarah motorcycle club.
The organization allegedly engaged in manufacturing and trafficking an synthetic drugs. The suspects also laundered criminal money, according to the prosecution.
Police deployed 500 people and searched homes, sheds, garage boxes, businesses and the Tilburg clubhouse of Satudarah. They seized 4 kilograms of amphetamine, a kilogram of hash, BMK (raw material for synthetic drugs) and a loaded rocket launcher, among other items. The arrests were in Breda, Tilburg, Dongen, Eindhoven and Weert. One man was arrested by an arrest team on the A2 highway near Vianen.
According to the National Public Prosecutor's Office, the raw materials for the drugs were delivered to the suspects from Lithuania. Suppliers and buyers appeared to meet regularly in the Netherlands.
